BigRigConnect is owned and operated by Christopher Turner, based in Oklahoma, USA. We provide a social networking and professional matching platform designed exclusively for commercial truck drivers ("the App" or "the Service").

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use BigRigConnect:

Account & Profile Information

• Full name and display name
• Email address
• Profile photo
• CDL class, years of experience, and trucking-related professional details
• Bio, tags, and "looking for" preferences

Location Data

• City and state (provided by you during onboarding)
• Approximate location (when you choose to share it) to show nearby drivers and routes
• We do not continuously track your GPS location in the background

Payment Information

• BigRigConnect Pro subscription billing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• We do not directly store your credit card number or full payment details
• We receive confirmation of your subscription status from the app store

Usage Analytics

• Pages and features you visit within the app
• Actions you take (posts, connections, messages sent)
• Device type, operating system, and app version
• Crash reports and performance data to improve the app

Content You Create

• Posts, comments, and road alerts you publish to the feed
• Messages sent to other drivers
• Maintenance logs, expense entries, and receipt photos
• Conversations with the Diesel AI assistant

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Match you with compatible team drivers on the Discover screen
• Enable messaging, audio rooms, and community feed features
• Power the Diesel AI assistant with context from your conversations
• Process and manage your Pro subscription
• Send you important notifications about your account and connections
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations

4. How We Share Your Information

We may share limited information only in the following circumstances:

• With other users: Your public profile information (name, photo, location, CDL info) is visible to other BigRigConnect users as part of the matching and community features
• Service providers: We use trusted infrastructure providers (including Supabase for database hosting and Anthropic for AI features) who are contractually bound to protect your data
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public
• Business transfers: If BigRigConnect is acquired or merged, your data may be transferred to the new owner under the same privacy protections

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers located in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Row-level security policies on our database
• Secure authentication through Supabase Auth
• Regular security reviews

While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you promptly as required by applicable law.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You can view your profile and account information at any time within the app
• Correction: You can update your profile information at any time through the Edit Profile screen
• Deletion: You can delete your account through Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile and data
• Data export: You may request a copy of your data by emailing privacy@bigrigconnect.com
• Notifications: You can manage notification preferences in the Settings screen

7. Age Requirement

BigRigConnect is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and associated data. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at privacy@bigrigconnect.com.

8. Cookies & Tracking

The BigRigConnect app does not use traditional browser cookies. Our website (bigrigconnect.com) may use minimal analytics to understand visitor traffic. We do not use cross-site tracking or third-party advertising trackers.

9. Third-Party Services

BigRigConnect integrates with the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
• Anthropic — powers the Diesel AI assistant
• Agora — powers live CB radio-style audio rooms
• Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription billing

Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the app if the changes are significant. Your continued use of BigRigConnect after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
